Jane Condon
Comedian and mom Jane Condon lives in Greenwich, Connecticut, but she’s still a nice person. She has two boys. Otherwise everything’s fine. The Associated Press has dubbed her “an uppercrust Roseanne” and The New York Times says, “Condon had the audience cackling, guffawing and in hysterics as she sliced through marriage, husband, kids, politics and other topics.” She loves to tell stories about her adventures (mostly survival tales) with her husband and kids.
Condon was named one of 10 Comedy Best Bets in Back Stage’s annual comedy issue. She has appeared on ABC-TV’s “The View” and Lifetime TV’s “Girls’ Night Out,” FOX-TV’s series finale of “24,” Nickelodeon’s “Nick Mom Night Out,” as well as NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”
She is the grand prize winner of the Ladies of Laughter Contest. She won “Audience Favorite- NY” on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. And she gave the commencement speech at Wellesley College (her alma mater). She recently appeared on NBC’s Today Show.

Kerri Louise
High-energy, commanding and versatile- but enough about her sex life- Kerri Louise can entertain any audience with her warmth and razor-edge wit. So it’s no wonder that Kerri was a regular correspondent on the Oprah Winfrey Show. Because of that, Kerri was asked to be on the very first episode of the Dr. Oz Show. NBC took Kerri all the way to the finals in the show Last Comic Standing. Her performance on that show prompted The Women’s Entertainment Network to make her the star of their new reality show called “TWO FUNNY.” Kerri’s guest appearances include Nick Mom Night Out, Comics Unleashed, the Montel Show, The Fine Living Channel, Access Hollywood, The Apprentice, The View, Comedy Central, VH1, 20/20 and New Joke City. These credits plus her appearance in the Marie Clair Magazine, the HBO Aspen Comedy Festival and the Montreal Comedy Festival have made Kerri an attraction.

Moody McCarthy
After appearances on Letterman, Last Comic Standing and Jimmy Kimmel Live, Moody McCarthy is no longer a well-kept secret. (After an appearance on the re-vamped Star Search, he still was.) With sharp, versatile material and an old-school ethic, Moody has performed all over North America and Asia and left them wanting more (as in “Bravo!”, not “We were ripped!”).
Moody began his career in Syracuse, NY, in the 1900s and quickly established himself as a keen monologist. Now based in New York City, he’s become a regular in the town’s best rooms and grown into an act that thrives in any setting, from upscale country clubs to divey pubs. Weaving sly topical jokes with crafty material and a dash of crowd-work, Moody’s likeability shines in any setting.

Is the material clean/family-friendly enough for grandma, coworkers, in-laws all in the same room? +
It can be. The Ivy League of Comedy specializes in clean, worry-free comedy.
Can the comedian roast the guest of honor without it feeling mean? +
We at The Ivy League of Comedy can but we prefer not to. We can make jokes that incorporate the guest of honor that are not roasts but more like jokes that praise.
Do they do crowd work, or is it more of a set? +
Comedians from The Ivy League of Comedy are skilled at crowd work but it’s your event— what do you want? We have found that guests at these types of events want at least something that, if not customized, at least involves some of the guests. But it’s up to you.
Can they work in specific inside jokes or stories about the bride/mom-to-be if we send details ahead of time? +
We can, but if you want specific jokes that have to be written about you, it will be an extra charge. Comedians from The Ivy League of Comedy write all original material— there’s no off-the-shelf stuff you’ve heard elsewhere.
How long is a typical set for a shower (most land on 15–30 minutes rather than a full hour)? +
The Ivy League of Comedy typically recommends around a half-hour, so your guests have plenty of time to socialize. But it’s your show— we can provide our expertise but what do you want?
Can they emcee the whole event — games, gift opening, toasts — not just do stand-up? +
Comedians from The Ivy League of Comedy can emcee events, but if you want someone to host games, be on stage for gift-opening, stuff like that, ask us in advance, before booking us.
Do they need a mic/sound system, or can they work a living room? +
We at The Ivy League of Comedy have found that, regardless of the set-up or number of people, a sound system really helps. Some of us have our own, but not all of us. So we should discuss this before booking. We can also give guidance on buying or renting a sound system. They’re a few hundred dollars to buy. If you have musician friends, they may have what we need. Which is an adequate sound system and a hand-held mic.
What’s the ideal room setup (semi-circle vs. rows, etc.)? +
The ideal set-up for a comedy show, according to The Ivy League of Comedy, is the comedian against the long wall, with clear sight lines for all the guests. Whether it’s rows or a semi-circle is less important than whether the comedian can be heard and can be seen.
What’s the rate, and does it change for travel outside a certain radius? +
The cost for The Ivy League of Comedy to provide a comedian for your event depends on when, where, for how many, and the particular comedian. Call, text or email us with that information and we’ll get back to you promptly to answer your questions.
Is there a deposit, and what’s the cancellation/reschedule policy (showers get moved a lot)? +
As is the industry standard, The Ivy League of Comedy asks for a 50% deposit. We do accept credit cards (at a small additional fee to cover our costs for that). In the case of a cancellation we may keep the deposit, or if it’s close to the show date, more than that (but if we’ve built in transportation costs that we can recoup, that’d go back to you). If it’s weather-related, that’s no fun for anybody but we understand. We hope you understand that if a show gets reschedule, the comedian has lost a booking. That said, some of us, if we didn’t have another option for that date that we declined, and nothing else for the reschedule date either, are pretty easy-going.
How far in advance do we need to book? +
The Ivy League of Comedy recommends booking us three months in advance, we but can also often accommodate last-minute bookings should you have a need. In that case please call (don’t email or text).
Will it work for a mixed-generation crowd (20s guests plus parents/grandparents)? +
The comedians from The Ivy League of Comedy are experts at entertaining all (adult) ages.
Can they tone it down or up depending on the vibe (some hosts want playful roast energy, others want warm and sentimental with light jokes)? +
The Ivy League of Comedy prefers keeping our shows clean. Everyone in the audience may play along and act as if they’re fine with racy material, but some may not be. There’s nothing inherently funnier about dirty comedy, so there’s really no reason for crude humor.
That said, we can be interactive with the audience if that’s what you’re looking for. Let us know!
