Shaun Eli, the founder and head of The Ivy League of Comedy, loves Santa Fe and is looking for any excuse to return. It was in a shop in Santa Fe that Shaun decided to start making his own cufflinks. Yes, he does that (it’s not a big deal- you buy the blanks and then cement a stone to it). Shaun usually dresses well for shows, with French cuffs and a sports jacket (and jeans and boots, which seems sort of Santa Fe-ish, right?)
Very affordable stand-up comedian Shaun Eli has rightfully been called one of America’s smartest comics. Whether it’s a story about dining with a vegetarian or successfully fighting a parking ticket, master storyteller Shaun Eli shows you that there’s hilarity in the ordinary if you approach life with a comedic warp. Job interviews? Serving on a NYC criminal jury? How about the Ten Commandments? For just about anything he’s experienced Shaun has a hilarious story at the ready.
Shaun performs regularly at theatres in NY.
Shaun loves Santa Fe and also Las Cruces where he once flew a private plane in and out. The small airport there is pretty cool as the three runways are arranged in a triangle. Shaun has flown into over a hundred airports and has never seen a runway layout like that anywhere else. There was also a great restaurant right there at the airport (“on the field” as they say).
Comedian Carmen Lynch grew up in Virginia & Spain and performs in both English and Spanish.
Carmen Lynch is a NYC-based comedian who has appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and twice on The Late Show with David Letterman. She’s been a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing and has performed several times for the troops in Iraq and Kuwait.
After appearances on Letterman, Last Comic Standing and Jimmy Kimmel Live, Moody McCarthy is no longer a well-kept secret. (After an appearance on the re-vamped Star Search, he still was.) With sharp, versatile material and an old-school ethic, Moody has performed all over North America and Asia and left them wanting more (as in “Bravo!”, not “We were ripped!”).
Moody began his career in Syracuse, NY, in the 1900s and quickly established himself as a keen monologist. Now based in New York City, he’s become a regular in the town’s best rooms and grown into an act that thrives in any setting, from upscale country clubs to divey pubs. Weaving sly topical jokes with crafty material and a dash of crowd-work, Moody’s likeability shines in any setting.
Moody McCarthy: few people hate him!
